Alan Schaller is a London-based photographer specializing in black and white photography. His work is often abstract and integrates surrealism, geometry, high contrast and the realities and diversities of human life.
His work has been published in British books such as The Guardian, The Financial Times, Time Out and The Independent. His work has also been published online and in print internationally. Alan exhibits regularly at Saatchi Gallery and Leica Gallery in London.
The brands he has worked with include Apple, Philips, Huawei Mobile, Kew Gardens and London Fashion Week. He is a brand ambassador for Leica Cameras.
He co-founded Street Photography International Collective (SPi). It has been set up to promote the best work in the genre, and to provide a platform for talented but unrepresented photographers. Today, the Instagram SPi account is the largest resource dedicated to street photography in the world with over 570,000 subscribers. Each month, SPi has 12 million hits and receives more than 70,000 photos.
